Victor Maghakian, also known as Captain Victor "Transport" Maghakian (December 30, 1915 – August 17, 1977), was an Armenian American member of the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Having received over two dozen medals and awards, he is considered one of the most decorated American soldiers of the war.

Gourgen Mkrtich Yanikian or in Western Armenian Kourken Mgrditch Yanigian (December 24, 1895 – February 27, 1984) was an armed militia and an Armenian Genocide survivor best known for the assassination of two Turkish consular officials, Los Angeles Consul General Mehmet Baydar and Consul Bahadır Demir, in California in 1973.
