YEREVAN, May 23. /ARKA/. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had Wednesday a telephone conversation with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland about the current situation in Armenia, the press office of the Armenian premier reports.
The parties agreed that the fight against corruption and the judiciary reform should proceed in conformity with the Constitution, the relevant international standards and Armenia’s obligations as a member State of the Council of Europe.
According to the press report, Thorbjørn Jagland confirmed the Organisation’s full support to the reform agenda in Armenia.
A delegation of Council of Europe experts will travel to Yerevan in the next days to offer advice and assistance with the necessary reforms.
