New Glendale Water & Power Program Offers Customers Bill Assistance
Wednesday, July 1, 2020Glendale Water & Power launched its new temporary bill relief program called GWP Cares to help mitigate the economic impact that COVID-19 has had on many of its electric residential and business customers. The GWP Cares program provides eligible customers that meet the program’s guidelines a:
- *One-time bill credit of $150 to residential electric customers living in single-family homes.
- *One-time bill credit of $80 to residential electric customers living in multi-family housing.
- *One-time bill credit of $150 to eligible businesses that are adversely affected by the COVID-19 “Stay At Home” order or did not operate in one of the essential services sectors covered in the Governor’s Executive Order N-33-20 for a period of at least 4 weeks.
- *One-time bill credit of $60 to residential low-income customers currently enrolled in GWP’s Senior/Glendale Care low-income discount program. These customers will be automatically enrolled in the Cares program and receive the one-time bill credit.
The GWP Cares program enrollment period is from July 1, 2020 – October 31, 2020. Applicants must apply during the enrollment time period, and will receive the one-time credit on their electric bill if they meet the eligibility criteria. Customers will be enrolled on a first come, first served basis (based upon the date of submittal of a complete application) up to the program budget cap.
