French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the importance of promoting stability in the South Caucasus and establishing a just and lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
After his meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Macron stated that achieving peace is possible through a peace treaty between the two countries.
"It is in our common interest to contribute to the stability of the South Caucasus. France fully supports your efforts to facilitate discussions between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Macron said.
" France fully supports initiatives to enhance communication between the EU and Central Asia through the EU strategy, the Transcaucasian Corridor, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s 'Crossroads of Peace' projects,'' said the French President, noting that one cannot proceed without the other.
