Glendale, CA – As details about developing relief programs for businesses and workers emerge, questions and confusion about how to access vital aid are plentiful. The City of Glendale has joined forces with key experts to deliver answers and clarity to the local workforce and business communities. The Community Development Department and Verdugo Jobs Center in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration and Glendale Chamber of Commerce will host a free webinar, “Demystifying COVID-19 Resources: How Glendale Small Businesses Can Access Federal Relief Funds” on Wednesday, April 8 at 11:00 AM.
Small businesses with 500 employees or less and non-profit organizations seeking economic assistance should attend this webinar featuring Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian, Judith Velasco, Executive Director of the Verdugo Jobs Center, Julia Giarmoleo with the Small Business Administration and Alex Bruno, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Glendale Chamber of Commerce.
Speakers will make sense of complex legislation impacting businesses and employees and will discuss:
- the CARES Act,
- Small Business Administration (SBA) relief programs,
- how and where to access local, state, and federal resources.
