Azerbaijan loses more manpower, fighting vehicles as frontline battles continue
Thursday, November 5, 2020According to the latest available information, 257 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 16 helicopters and 25 warplanes were downed and 723 armored vehicles and six units of the heavy flamethrower systems were hit since the outbreak of the hostilities on September 27.
Azerbaijan launched large-scale offensives along the Line of Contact on September 27, targeting also the civilians of Nagorno-Karabkh.
The adversary's strikes left also civilian objects and military objectives on the territory of Armenia and Artsakh heavily damaged. Two civilians were fatally shot in the Gegharkunik region. As many as 148 civilians were wounded and some 50 were killed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Azerbaijani strikes left also journalists (representing both the local and international media) wounded.
Armenia and Artsakh declared martial law and a general mobilization on September 27.
Despite the humanitarian ceasefire formally agreed three times, Azerbaijan's armed forces continue the repeated attacks, firing Armenian outposts.
