Artur Janibekyan

Born on February 29, 1976 in Yerevan. Graduated from the PhysMath School at Yerevan State University, then from the Yerevan State University majoring in economics.
- 1993–96— advertiser, administrator, project coordinator, film set director at Sharm company.
- from 1994— one of the founders and director of the New Armenians KVN (Club of the Funny and Inventive) team (won the 1997 Top KVN League Championship).
- 2000–05— producer for the New Armenian Radio program on the Russian Radio station.
- 2001–02— producer for the 'Good Evening with Igor Ugolnikov' program on STS(a Russian TV channel).
In 2003, created comedy show Comedy Club along with his comedy sketch friends. Comedy Club introduced Russian viewers to comedy. Since 2005 Comedy Club has aired on TNT (a Russian TV channel) till nowadays. In 2006, Comedy Club entered the top 10 of the most commercially successful Russian projects (ninth place with 3.5 million dollars) according to the Forbes magazine.
In 2007, founded the multi-functional producer center Comedy Club Production, where he serves as CEO and general producer till nowadays. This year GQ magazine (Russia) named Artur Person of the Year in the 'Producer of the Year' category.
In 2008 – launched 24-hour humor channel Comedy TV.
In November 2009 – opened restaurants called Comedy Café.
Founder and co-owner of 7 Art, the company that produced the popular sitcoms UNI and The Interns currently airing on TNT. Later 7 Arts became a part of Comedy Club Production.
In 2011, the controlling stake of Comedy Club Production was sold to TNT, a popular TV channel in Russia. The stake amounted to 250 million dollars and was a record sale for the Russian TV.
In 2012 – “Media-Manager of Russia 2012” award for 'outstanding achievements in creating brands and TV programs, as well as for the largest business deal in the history of Russian television and content production.’
In 2013, Comedy Club Production took second place in the list of the largest companies producing content for major federal Russian TV channels according to the Forbes Magazine.
In March 2015, Artur Janibekyan took charge of the entertainment television group, which included four terrestrial TV channels: TNT, TV-3, «Friday!» и «2х2», as well as Comedy Club Production and А Plus production (former Good Story media).
In 2015, Artur Janibekyan entered the top 5 best managers in the country in the media business in the annual rating of “TOP-1000 Russian Managers” based on results of expert voting of top managers of the Russian Managers Association (RMA). The rating is published annually in the daily business publication “Kommersant”.
In November 2015, the TV-3 TV channel was relaunched in a new format and look under Artur Janibekyan's management. On January 1, 2016 the new TV channel was launched - TNT-4, which broadcasts the best projects from the TNT media library from the moment of its creation.
In June 2016, Artur Janibekyan also became the head of the TV channel TNT in the position of the General Director.
On July 7, 2016, Artur Janibekyan became the prize winner of the competent professional award “Media-Manager of Russia 2016”. He got a golden statuette “For establishment and effective management”.
In January 2017, the TNT4 channel headed by Artur Janibekyan became the first federal TV channel that expanded its broadcasting reach beyond the country's borders within a year. In May 2017, the «Friday!» TV channel was launched internationally. The international TV channel versions were created for the Russian speakers living abroad, as well as for the Russian and Russian-speaking tourists around the world.
On July 6, 2017, Artur Janibekyan, General Director of the channel TNT, was awarded the title of laureate of the XVIIth National Award “Media Manager of Russia - 2017” for the third time. The award was received for “development and effective management, for outstanding achievements in creating entertaining and humorous content”.
The TNT team led by Artur Janibekyan developed and launched the broadcasting of premium TV series that increased the audience share of the TV channel, enabled collecting more precise nation-wide audience coverage data and combatting piracy. From September 2017, TNT transitioned to premiere broadcasts on workdays (Moscow time) with posting content online immediately after the TV broadcast.
In October 2017, TNT under the leadership of Artur Janibekyan became the first TV channel in Russia to sell advertising under the Big TV Rating system. This system permits advertisers to place ads in TV broadcasts and the channel's digital platforms simultaneously. ТNТ became the first channel to disclose its viewership data to the entire market.
In 2017, Artur Janibekyan together with Valeriy Fedorovich and Evgeniy Nikishov became a producer of the unique "Gogol. The Beginning" project – the first mini-series in the world to be widely released in theaters. The mini-series paid for itself on the day of its premiere and set several box-office records. The production was ranked in the top 10 ten movie theatre releases in 2017. In addition to Russia and the CIS, Gogol. The Beginning was released in Russia in the United States, UK, Germany, Spain, Austria and Cyprus. Gogol's promotional campaign received several professional awards and diplomas and aroused interest of the professional community during its presentation in Cannes at MIPCOM.
At the end of 2017, TNT under the management of Artur Janibekyan changed its broadcasting line-up from foreign to local content – Russian comedy series and its own shows. This provided additional support for production companies within the holding and raised long-term investments due to copyright ownership and broadcasting own programs on different media and with unrestricted number of runs.
In January 2018, the Super TV channel was launched under the management of Artur Janibekyan.
On July 5, Artur Janibekyan was awarded the Gran Prix at the 18th Media Manager of Russia National Award Ceremony.
In the three years from 2016 to 2018, the projects of TNT, «Friday!» и TV-3 channels under the management of Artur Janibekyan, received 19 statuettes in total of the largest Russian TV award TEFI 2016, TEFI 2017 and TEFI 2018 in the Daytime Broadcast and Evening Primetime categories.
In 2018, Artur Janibekyan together with Semyon Slepakov and Alexander Dulerain produced the series “House arrest”, which topped the rating of the best series of 2018 according to the editorial of the website “Kinopoisk”. “House arrest” also took 1st place in the TOP 5 Russian television series according to “Kinokratiya”, became an eight-time laureate of the VII APKIT Prize. The series was awarded a special prize of the 32nd film awards “Nika” – “For creative achievements in the art of television cinema”. “House arrest” also won the ninth international television Festival “TEFI-Commonwealth”.
