A big flow of Armenian immigrants to the United States started during the Soviet years. The reasons for the immigration were different but most of the times the reason is the better life.  The immigration of Armenians continues until these days, and many people are leaving their country, homes, friends, and relatives and move to the United States of America.

 Usually, families immigrate together if they are lucky. Otherwise, some people even leave their families and come to America to provide them with more money and better conditions of life.

It is always very hard to leave your normal life behind and start a new one, especially when you are already an adult. Foreign country, foreign people, laws, and customs. When immigrating as a child, it is easier to adapt to the new life, but as a grown up you come across a lot of obstacles.  The most difficult thing is finding a job when you don’t even speak the language fluently. It makes everything even harder when you do not have any friends or relatives. But Armenians are known for having relatives almost everywhere.

You cannot always be sure that when you immigrate to America, your relatives are going to support you. Who knows?!

Yet, the Armenian nation is a nation that has seen a lot of sufferings through centuries, and the spirit of a fighter is in Armenian DNA.

The result is obvious- you can see many successful Armenians in America in any field you may imagine.

Yes, immigration is a big step, leaving the old life is hard, but Armenians will always find their way through any difficulties and obstacles. A fact not any less important is that the Armenian community in the US is one of the strongest and most united communities in the world and it always gives a new member a warm welcome.
