Armenian Family Assaulted in Istanbul
Monday, June 3, 2019On May 31 an Armenian family was assaulted in Isnbul which had moved from Armenia, the Agos informed. Unidentified people rang the doorbell, and Arpine T. opened the door. Two masked people attacked the woman, stabbed with a knife, shouted that this is the beginning and hid. The neighbors listened her calls for help. Arpine was taken to hospital. Her life is not in danger.
The offenders wrote threats on the wall and drew a cross.
The chief of police of Istanbul assured Aram Atesian, the General Vicar of the Armenian Patriarch of Turkey, that the offenders will be found, and security in the Armenian neighborhoods will be enhanced.
