23-year-old California man dies after snowboarding crash in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A 23-year-old California man is dead after a snowboarding incident at a Lake Tahoe ski resort.
According to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, David Karlin, of Orangevale, California was pronounced dead on Thursday, Dec. 7 after a snowboarding crash at Sierra at Tahoe Resort.
Sergeant Anthony Prencipe says first aid was provided by an on scene acquaintance as well as ski patrol while Karlin was being transported by paramedics.
Paramedics were unable to revive the 23-year-old.
The cause of death is pending.
