We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable night-time live-in caregiver to assist an elderly woman with mild dementia patient during the overnight hours. The ideal candidate will provide essential care, ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient while offering comfort and support throughout the night. This position involves staying overnight at the patient’s home, assisting with personal care needs, and ensuring they are comfortable and secure during the nighttime hours.

Ensure the patient is safe throughout the night, including checking on them. Prevent wandering and ensure the patient remains in a safe environment. Making sure the patient is asleep through the night.

Ensure that medications are taken according to prescribed schedules and assist with any necessary medication administration.

Help the patient settle down for bed and encourage a restful sleep routine. Respond to needs during the night,

Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support to reduce anxiety or restlessness typical in dementia
patients, especially during the night.

Perform light housekeeping duties related to the patient’s care, such as tidying up the bedroom, washing dishes, and ensuring the living space is clean and safe.

Act quickly and appropriately in the event of an emergency, such as assisting with falls, sudden changes in health, or other urgent needs.

Observe any changes in physical or mental health and report significant changes to the family.
