We are an inclusive enrichment center where kids ages 4+ learn, create, and explore.

We’re looking for a patient, enthusiastic Chess Instructor who enjoys working with children and can make learning chess fun and approachable.

What You’ll Do

Teach chess fundamentals, including rules, piece movement, basic tactics, and strategy.
Lead engaging lessons through puzzles, demonstrations, and practice games.
Adapt activities to each student’s age, skill level, and learning needs.
Encourage focus, problem-solving, turn-taking, and good sportsmanship.
Create a welcoming classroom and keep teaching materials organized.
What We’re Looking For

Strong knowledge of chess and the ability to explain concepts clearly to beginners.
A patient, encouraging approach and a love of working with children.
Reliability, clear communication, and good classroom management.
Experience teaching or coaching children is preferred.
Experience working with neurodiverse learners or children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
Schedule & Flexibility

This is a part-time role with scheduling based on your availability and class needs. We welcome applicants interested in teaching a few hours a week or building a larger schedule over time.
