Bakery Sales Associate Needed - Pasadena, CA

A family-owned bakery and café serving our community for over 40 years. We specialize in fresh baklava, Middle Eastern pastries, cookies, croissants, cakes, and specialty desserts.

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Sales & Barista Associate to join our team and help deliver the warm, welcoming experience our customers have loved for decades. This role is primarily customer-facing, with hands-on café drink preparation and some support in the kitchen when the front is slower.

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to help customers choose baked goods, pastries, and café beverages
- Operate the POS system to process orders and payments accurately
- Prepare and package pastries, cookies, and cakes for takeout or display
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter and display cases
- Restock bakery cases and café supplies as needed
- Prepare a variety of café beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, iced drinks, and other basic coffee/tea items using appropriate machines
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times
- When needed, assist in the kitchen with simple baking and prep tasks (e.g., portioning dough, filling and tray-ing pastries, basic prep, labeling and packaging baked goods)
